BENTELER opens new training center in Dinslaken

Paderborn/Salzburg, 10/01/2018 – The new training center at the BENTELER site in Dinslaken was officially opened on Saturday, 29 September, 2018. New facilities covering an area of 900 square meters, complete with a modern training area, provide an ideal learning atmosphere. The Steel/Tube Division as part of the BENTELER Group is an attractive employer in the region that is actively committed to the training of young people.

BENTELER invested around EURO 1 million in the new building. "A total of 32 apprentices are being trained here in the area of metalworking and electronics. The continuous development of our employees is the key to our success. In a rapidly changing world, this is essential for remaining flexible and therefore successful in the face of future challenges," says Dr. Lutz Ernenputsch, Plant Manager Dinslaken plant, BENTELER Steel/Tube.

Learning facilities covering an area of 900 square meters

Following a construction time of only eleven months, all apprentices can now concentrate on their training in the new facilities, complete with a modern training area, covering an area of 900 square meters. The new building also accommodates areas for machine tools, training rooms for data processing, control systems and welding technology, as well as space for an electronics laboratory and metalworking.

Thomas Koch, Head of Training at BENTELER, explains: "We demonstrate social commitment at our production locations. The training of future generations has always been very important to us. In Germany, we employ around 750 apprentices, and students on combined work and study courses. Our training is continuously adapted to current trends and future requirements. Therefore we ensure that important topics such as Industry 4.0 and digitization are integrated in our training concepts right from the beginning and made to come alive."

When building the new training center, BENTELER put particular emphasis on the protection of the environment. All construction followed current heat insulation guidelines and energy saving regulations. All heating and warm water use waste heat from the factory furnances.

BENTELER combined the opening ceremony of the new training center with a family celebration for all employees at the plant site. Around 1000 visitors spent a wonderful day there with fun events for young and old.
